In a new intergenerational dance work by Momentum choreographer/dancer, Liz Cornish, we introduce 12 guest artists, aged from 3 to 95.
Bookshelf is an all ages dance work based on the idea of parents reading books to their
children, then those children reading books to their children, and so on down the line.
Books are magic. They allow the imagination to be unlocked and they provide a spark to connect people across the generations. They are also a place of comfort and security, even when they might be challenging or scary.
'By inviting family members from all age groups to join Momentum dancers in the performance, I hoped to share the love of movement and story-telling across the generations.
As my mother always said, “If you can read, you can do anything."'
